During creating my website using Wix, I really needed any great examples of fashion designers' websites in order to refer. However, it was hard to find individual fashion designers' websites rather than fashion companies'. I finally found a example that I can refer to.
AHLUWALIA STUDIO
The website
Ahluwaliastudio is outstanding and well laid out with the headline of the Ahluwalia appearing on each page along with the menu which change the colours when the mouse pointer is put on. As below you can see screenshots from the site, there is a big picture of its lookbook and it is highly remarkable with clean white background. Each lookbook pages are easy to use with the images in thumbnails so you can just click through. The About page is informative and explains the foundation and designer's career with a characterful picture. The most interesting thing about this website and brand is the menu "sweet lassi", which is a narrative about Ahluwalia's book and inspiration for her 19 SS collection. Sweet lassi focuses on a 2017 trip to visit family, in Lagos, Nigeria, and an anachronism: clothes in an environment out of their sorts, which is generally about second-hand clothes exported to poor countries. Through this description, I can see that how much she thinks about sustainability about clothes and also this is exactly what I want to focus on for my future brand.
