Set project - initial sketch 3

To be continued with the last post, I am posting the 3rd and 4th final sketches.

Let's have a look at how I design for the project.

3. Lionfish
(Balconette bra - Thong)

In this design, I would like to utilise lionfish's unique shape of fins so I applied this features on the bra cub, side of the bra, and pelvis side of the brief.  Besides, those will have the vertical stripe pattern from fins on the bra and the horizontal stripe pattern from its body on the knicker.

5. Christmas tree worm
(Bralette bra - Thong)

This is bra design inspired by Christmas tree worm. This design is the pickiest one among other designs because the general shape of the creature is simple.

So I designed the lace pattern from the top side of the Christmas tree worm, like a spiral, and put the embroidery patterns with a connection from the brief pattern.

 

Furthermore, in order to design the brief and embroidery pattern for the 3d piece, I had several designs to compare with each other and it was really difficult to find one that I really want to design. As I designed other briefs as thong and bikini styles, I tried to avoid designing it thong style, but the thong style is the most suitable for the perfect design as a set of the bra. After many attempts, I decided to bring it to the final design.

This new project is such a challenge for me because it was the first time to choose the theme among the limited options. However, I pretty enjoyed much and am looking forward to colouring all the designs and making a 3D piece.
