Reflection,
This term made me really confused about many things due to this outbreak and unexpected situation. Thus, I should do everything by myself and it was not an easy journey because there was no motivation to do everything as self-study. However, this term gave me remind that all the university study consists of self-study and is a battle with myself.
In this project, I managed to develop the skills of painting with watercolour and embroidery. I think this is really good practice for future studies at university. Furthermore, While designing the lingerie collection with aquatic creatures, there were many limited aspects of the creatures' features and body shape, so there were difficulties in the initial process of creating ideas and several modifications around all the processes. If I made a mistake in drawing with watercolors, or if I drew something wrong, the process was more complicated than using a digital program, and I had to start again, so I experienced frustration and failure. Nevertheless, the skills I learned in the 1st and 2nd terms helped me a lot and I was also able to develop the skills I had through this project. I learned how to use various colours and how to make specific colours which I was going to use in each design after a number of studies. Although this time was a lot of challenges for me and it was hard to get help from around me, I am proud of myself that I have led this much alone successfully. If I had more time, I would like to unify the colour palette of the designs and complete them again, and I would like to try drawing them on a woman's body. I haven't tried it yet because I don't think I can show the details of lace patterns or little details on the bras and knickers, but I felt that I should practice drawing the body of a woman, drawing the lace designs, and also drawing the details of lingerie during the three-month break for a better portfolio. For 3D work, at first, I was afraid because I had never embroidered, but it was not difficult I expected since I practiced before did into the work. There are certain points that I regret, but I think this project was successful because I put a lot of effort on this project. I am so glad that overall works both 2D and 3D are created as I expected. With this project, I found what I am insufficient in which fields, what I need to develop and study. So that I will practice and study harder during the break and lead the next project more successfully.
