Research - fashion trends FW19-20
To begin with the creation of my collection, I have done research for fashion trends FW19-20 and found these pictures from fashion collections.
1. Bourgeois
Celine |
According to Vogue magazine, after seasons of more conceptual fashion, a return to a style code with elegance at its core is shaped the capsules on the runway at Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019-2020. This design reminds me of the '70s and '80s bourgeois in Paris, France by wearing sunglasses and a pattern-printed scarf.
2. Punk Spirit
Alexander McQueen |
As every Fall and winter season, the leather coat has been released in some brands. However, the trend in 2020 is the leather coat with stud and zipper details and it created as the style of punk spirit.
3. Eighties
Saint Laurent |
This is quite interesting since I found it from 80's fashion trends as well. I feel that the vouge is always returning all around.
4.CAPES
Celine |
It has been released every F/W season, but the cape is been longer than previous and it looks like a complement to both casual looks and eveningwear.
5.Neon
Saint Laurent |
In 2019, neon was the major color in especially spring and summer season. I am so glad it is continued to FW 2020.
Moreover, this is inspired by the '80s as well and these colors are worth continuing during every season.
6.Couture tailoring
Alexander McQueen
|
Chic sleeve detailing, sculpted shoulder and sequins are also used in many brands; for instance, Alexander McQueen, Celine par Hedi Slimane, Givenchy. Furthermore, these styles are reminded 80's.
6.Faux-fur
Michael Kors / Stella McCartney |
Faux-fur is released in this upcoming season again, and this is more than just a trend. As increasing in awareness of environmental concern, faux-fur is also getting popular in the fashion industry.
Through trend research, I found that which fashion trend is suited for my collection and i decided how I design my first collection. Looking forward to it!
